What are the key differences between a RedLine13 Basic vs Premium subscription? We’ll talk about that but first, let’s hear why some RedLine13 customers upgraded to Premium.
Why Some RedLine13 Customers Upgraded to Premium
Roberto Valverde of Infutor said that they were adding more people. Getting a Premium subscription meant that each person could now run load tests from their own RedLine13 account and get rid of standalone JMeter. The result was that they could reutilize tests between team members and increase collaboration.
Vlad Oksentuk of KeenEthics, a RedLine13 Partner told how they were using RedLine13 exclusively for custom end-to-end load testing. That way of testing is really demanding in terms of vCPU amounts. Premium has “unlimited vCPUs” which came in handy. The secondary reason was that their team grew and wanted to have more team members in the tool like Roberto said above.
Similarities and Differences
There are some key similarities with Basic and Premium. Both subscriptions have no limits on the number of tests you run. They have no limits on the duration of your tests. Both have real-time graphs, Jenkins integration and API access. But there are some differences between RedLine13 Basic vs Premium.
A Basic subscription is for a single user. Premium subscriptions support teams. Premium comes standard with support for 20 users but you can add more. Team members have access to test data and results from all team members. Read about some new RedLine13 Team Features we added based on a customer request.
With a Basic subscription, you can run one test at a time. With a Premium subscription you can run up to 5 tests at a time. As many of our customers move towards CI/CD, this becomes more important.
Higher vCPU – Bigger AWS Servers
The ability to merge JTL output files allows for enhanced offline analysis after running a load test. One straightforward example use case for JTL files would be to import data into Excel for generating your own custom graphs. Read more about merging JTL output files for offline analysis.
