We created RedLine13 and call it (Almost) Free Load Testing. So, what is it? Other load testing companies talk about it. But is it? First, let’s talk about (Almost) Free Load Testing and why we call it that.
Two Cost Components of RedLine13
There are two cost components of RedLine13 load testing: RedLine13 costs and AWS costs. RedLine13 can be used for free. And when we say free, we mean free. We have different subscriptions including a free subscription that has no limit on the number of users per test and no limit on the number of tests.
The other cost component is AWS. We’ve shared many stories about the ridiculously low cost of using AWS for load testing. Here’s one that cost $10 for a one hour test with 5,000 users. So there is a cost, but it is incredibly small. And you can use RedLine13 for free. That’s why we say (Almost) Free Load Testing.
Other companies talk about free load testing but it’s got lots of limitations or it’s just a free trial. Read more about Free vs. Free Trial.
The whole reason that RedLine13 got into the load testing business was because we had seen how expensive load testing software was then and still is now.
