Load Test Internal Applications with RedLine13

By: RedLine13

In many test scenarios, you will want to load test internal applications running on your cloud or in your own data center.  Here is a guide on picking a path based on your deployment.

  • Our load agents run inside your AWS environment. So if you have a tunnel or traffic management place already you might not have to do anything.
  • If your applications are running on AWS but perhaps in a different vpc, region, or account from your load test then it’s pretty easy to setup internal security groups and allow redline load agents to access your applications.
    • Load testing internal application using security groups
  • If you are running in a different cloud or on-premises you might need to have a controlled IP range to test from. This requires using a NAT gateway. We have instructions and it’s not hard but requires walking through some manual steps upfront.
    • Load Testing With Private Subnets and NAT Gateways

Try it out yourself here. And if you’re new to RedLine13, here’s how to Run Your First RedLine13 Load Test.
