As part of a recent update, tests that you run on RedLine13 now have the ability to automatically detect and install JMeter<\/a> plugins that are referenced by your test plan.\u00a0 With a few simple one-time setup steps, automatic plugin installation can be accomplished from your JMeter tests with a single-click.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Adding the JMeter Plugin Manager<\/h3>\n

A prerequisite to using this feature is that you enable the \u201cJMeter Plugin Manager<\/em>\u201d for your account.\u00a0 From the main menu, select \u201cAccount<\/em>\u201d and then \u201cYour Plugins<\/em>\u201d:<\/p>\n

From the list of \u201cAvailable<\/em>\u201d plugins, find \u201cJMeter Plugin Manager<\/em>\u201d and click on the \u201c+<\/strong>\u201d icon to add this to your account:<\/p>\n

<\/a>Use the JMeter Plugin Manager in Your Tests<\/h3>\n

When creating a new JMeter test, navigate to the \u201cAdvanced JMeter Test Options<\/em>\u201d section and find the \u201cJMeter Plugin Support<\/em>\u201d subheading.\u00a0 Once you have completed the above steps, there will be an option to check \u201cJMeter Plugin Manager<\/em>\u201d as shown:<\/p>\n

With this box checked, any JMeter plugin that is referenced within your JMX test plan file<\/a> will be automatically downloaded and installed on load agents during runtime.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Plugin Compatibility<\/h3>\n

Any JMeter plugins listed in the JMeter-plugins.org public repository<\/a> are eligible to be automatically installed using this feature.\u00a0 Previously using the plugin manager, it was necessary to search and manually select the plugin and version.\u00a0 While it is still possible to do this, it is no longer a necessary step.\u00a0 Any custom plugins (e.g.<\/em>, those that you<\/em> create<\/a>) will still require you to upload the JAR file as an \u201cExtra File<\/em>\u201d during your test.<\/p>\n
