JMeter has become the industry standard for load testing. If you don’t know, JMeter<\/a> is an Apache project used as a load testing tool for analyzing and measuring the performance of various services, with a focus on web applications. This post will talk about some very different companies and their efforts to scale their JMeter tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spoke with companies that were using JMeter and how it was working for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A global leader in webinar-based marketing solutions used JMeter and simply needed something to help them escalate the load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A French leader in online real estate was using JMeter manually, setting up injectors themselves, had more complex needs. They needed to quickly have test automation for test infrastructure, where they had manual processing before. They also needed to provide teams a way to run and re-run tests autonomously since they had several teams and it was complicated to have “every skill” in each team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A large multinational pharmaceutical company wanted to leverage JMeter in the cloud and do it themselves. They considered instantiating their cloud environment on Kubernetes, but it turned out to be highly unmaintainable. They looked at BlazeMeter, which was very pricey. A non-profit tried to keep things simple and coordinate among several team members, each running JMeter from their laptop. But they \u201calmost broke the office wifi :)\u201d So they looked at BlazeMeter, but they decided it was too expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
